My Useful Weller P2C Butane Soldering Iron

I love this soldering iron. I really like not being tied to an outlet. It’s a very handy tool but as the tip ages it becomes hard to ignite. Also the exhaust will melt whatever it comes in contact with. I ruined a breadboard that way and burned my fingers a number of times. It’s hard to avoid doing this unless you pay close attention to which way you are holding the iron. Since this is an unavoidable problem with butane irons I suppose I can’t knock it too much for this. Just don’t think of it as a replacement for an electric iron. And watch out for the heat that comes out the “exhaust”.
